Yosemite National Park

After 3 and half hour drive from San Francisco we arrived at Mariposa (Spanish for butterfly), a small lovely town about 1 and half hour drive to Yosemite National Park. We stayed at our first AirBnB accommodation and it was such a delightful experience. Our lovely hosts Nancy and Kelly spoilt us with delicious healthy breakfasts in bed every morning!

Californian wild poppies gracing the hillside.

Yosemite Falls.

The historic Ahwahnee Hotel.

While waiting for my husband to solve his bouldering problems, I went and checked out the historic Ahwahnee Hotel. It is by far the most interesting and gorgeous hotel I’ve ever been to. This hotel is filled with native American’s aesthetics and I fell in love with it instantly. What a picture perfect location too!

There’s so much more to explore inside this amazing national park but unfortunately we didn’t allocate enough days. A great excuse to return one day!
